Here we have a strange sight that is the result of an outdoor camping trip gone bizarre. After a night of blissful sleep under the starry sky, this fine young man awoke to discover that a common ground snail had taken up residence inside his auditory canal.

A true environmental hero, the youngster decided to live symbiotically with nature, and has continued to coexist with the mollusk for over a year. He has sacrificed balance and stereo sound and often must stand close to slimy rocks and tree stumps so that the snail may eat. In my mind, this exemplifies the generous capacity of the human spirit.
